Frans Meijer was probably the mastermind behind the Heineken kidnapping. Meijer, who had gone into hiding, remorsefully reports himself to the police in Amsterdam, one month after the liberation of Heineken and Doderer. He is immediately detained and put in prison. After a year he is transferred to the Pieter Baan Center, from which he escapes in January 1985. Since then, there is no trace of him to be found…
