This statement relates to data processed by BGDH, a foundation with its registered office and principal place of business in The Hague (2518 AD) at Zeestraat 82, registered in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 41150927.
BGDH processes personal information (“personal data”), business information, and data obtained from visits to and use of the BDGH website that is provided by users, customers and/or relations and their employees. For more information on cookies used by BDGH, please see our cookie statement.
BDGH processes the following personal data – first and last name, address details, telephone number, email address, date of birth, gender, payment details, IP address, purchase history, reviews, interests and preferences, data obtained from social profiles, and in the event of membership of the BGDH Club – business information like company names, Chamber of Commerce details, profession/function and licence plate numbers.
Personal data can or may be collected when visiting BGDH, applying for and becoming a member of a BGDH club, participating in a training session/workshop, registering for and attending a debate, lecture or event, by filling in online web forms, via social media and when contacting our service department, and requesting information. BGDH uses the data that it collects from its customers and/or relations to enable transactions; ensure transactions are processed efficiently; improve its services and the customer experience; comply with statutory obligations; create personal accounts; send newsletters; create profiles; contact customers and/or relations for promotions; display customised advertisements; answer questions; handle complaints; comply with statutory obligations; collect debts (including passing on a claim to a debt collection agency); carry out internal management and keep records and to conduct audits.
Appropriate storage terms and security measures
BGDH shall not store data longer than needed to achieve the above-mentioned goals.
BGDH has taken careful and appropriate measures to safeguard the electronic systems. This is to prevent unauthorised persons from accessing any personal or business information that BGDH processes.
If BGDH processes your personal data, then – under certain circumstances – you have the right to access your personal data, and the right to rectification and erasure of the data, and restriction of its processing. You also have the right to object against the processing and transfer of your data.
If you have granted BGDH permission to process your personal data, you may revoke this at any time. The withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdrew the consent. Lastly, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This is the supervisory board on privacy (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
BDGH may provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. BGDH will only provide your personal data to third parties with whom it has entered into a (data processing) agreement. This agreement will include provisions to guarantee the safety of your personal data.
Additionally, BDGH will also provide your personal data if it is required to do this based on Dutch law or a court decision. In other cases, BDGH shall never provide your personal data to any third party, and/or sell it without your permission. Your personal data will not be provided to third parties for commercial purposes.
