We observe the rules of the National Institute of Public Health (RIVM): “Museums are allowed to re-open as of 1 June. Visitors must purchase tickets in advance to ensure that the museums complies with the 1.5 metre distancing rule.” [Press conference 6 May 2020].

The Netherlands Museum Association (Museumvereniging) has drawn up a provisional protocol which states that a maximum of one visitor or family is permitted per 10 square metres of ‘net surface area’. The previously mentioned restriction of a maximum of 30 people does not apply to museums. It does apply to restaurants, cinemas and theatres. If you have coronavirus symptoms, it is recommended that you stay home.
